We would like to take a moment to introduce Jordin Nitz, dietitian intern with Tamarac over the past three weeks in our cafeteria. Sitting down for a discussion with Cafeteria Supervisor, Joy Wright, Jordin explained she was able to learn all aspects of our food services department: purchasing, receiving, food prep, menu planning, budget, profit & loss and operations.
Jordin is a 2016 Tamarac graduate and most recently a graduate of Russell Sage College this past May. While at Tamarac, she was a student athlete in softball, soccer and basketball. She has always been interested in health and fitness and with a push from her family, she decided to set her sights on Nutrition. Her ideal job would be to work as a dietitian in a hospital NICU or in Nutrition Counseling.
Ms. Wright would like to add that, "Jordin has been an absolute pleasure to mentor these last three weeks of her internship. She is a wonderful example of what we would hope of a Tamarac Alumni, smart, kind and ambitious."
Look for a flyer in the future from Jordin, geared toward our student athletes about the importance of nutrition, health and fitness.
Wishing you the best in your future endeavors, Jordin!
