We are pleased to announce that today we hosted a special school assembly for students in grades eight through twelve, along with breakout sessions featuring Stephen Hill, a renowned national speaker on substance use prevention and mental health with a truly inspiring comeback story.
Stephen is the founder of Speak Sobriety, a young person in recovery, bestselling author, recovery coach, and a defense attorney. His story was the main feature in Surviving the Hill, a recently released documentary on the drug epidemic focusing on prevention and recovery.
Stephen has presented in front of thousands of people for over 500 schools and coalitions across the country, sharing his cautionary tale of substance use disorder to recovery and beyond. His powerful message will leave our students better educated on mental health and substance use, with practical tools and coping skills to work through challenges, and with a goal-oriented mindset to create a life worth defending.
