Brunswick CSD Welcomes New Food Service Director, Louise Jackson Lanz
Brunswick Central School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Louise Jackson Lanz as the new Food Service Director. Ms. Lanz brings a wealth of experience to the role, including a Culinary Degree from England, a Board Certification in Holistic Health Coaching, and a degree in Health Science from Excelsior University.
Prior to joining Brunswick CSD, Ms. Lanz owned and operated "Piece of Cake Bakery and Cafe," showcasing her culinary expertise. She also possesses a strong background in education, having served in food service departments at other local schools.
"I am thrilled to join the Brunswick CSD team," said Ms. Lanz. "I am passionate about providing excellent customer service and high-quality meals for our students and staff."
Ms. Lanz succeeds Joy Wright, who is retiring on January 24, 2025. Ms. Wright has served as the Brunswick CSD Cafeteria Manager since 2009, bringing a wealth of experience to the role.
"Joy has been an invaluable asset to our school district," said Stephanie Fanning, Assistant Superintendent for Business. "Her dedication to providing nutritious and delicious meals to our students has been unwavering. We wish her all the best in her retirement." Mrs. Fanning also shared her enthusiasm for this transition and is confident in Ms. Lanz's ability to lead the cafeteria program with a fresh perspective.
Ms. Wright graduated from Johnson Wales Culinary College and previously held positions at Bennington College and The Sands Casino in Atlantic City. She expressed her sincere gratitude for the opportunity to serve the Brunswick CSD community for the past 15 years.
The district extends a warm welcome to Ms. Lanz and wishes Ms. Wright a happy and fulfilling retirement.
