Dear Brunswick CSD Community:
This morning, Governor Cuomo announced that as of now, schools are granted permission to reopen under the guidance from the New York State Department of Health and Education Department. As you know, we submitted a plan which we will continue to develop over the next days and weeks.
In addition to the work the District is doing to reopen, we must also consider and execute the following:
Three parent meetings
8/12/2020 - 4:00 PM Secondary School
8/12/2020 - 6:30 PM Elementary School
8/13/2020 - 12:00 PM Virtual Meeting

Remote Learning Plan for full remote model
Faculty and Staff Informational Meeting
8/18/2020
Many families and caregivers want a clear plan for a remote option. I hope to have this by the end of next week. The major issue with offering a remote instructional model is staffing, which is why we will likely need to partner with Questar III BOCES. Gaining information about how many children would opt into a remote option is critical to our planning, and I thank you in advance for sharing that information with us. I said this in a previous communication but I think it is worth repeating: the uncertainty around COVID-19, as well as the family planning necessary for the fall, is extremely stressful for everyone. We are very aware of this and will do everything within our authority to minimize this angst. We are in this together, and we are here for you.
Thank you for your continued support and patience as we enter into the next steps for planning the education of your child(ren) during a pandemic.
All the best,
Dr. Angelina Maloney
Superintendent of Schools
