Happy Friday!
We had another eventful week of learning in the elementary school! Students and teachers are working harder than ever and their efforts have not gone unnoticed. Amidst all of this hard work, there has also been much laughter and play (among young and not-so-young). This is a testament to the grit and positivity that makes this community what it is. As October winds down, here is where we are and where we are going.
This Friday, October 30, 2020 will be our school-wide spirit day, and students, faculty and staff are encouraged to wear black and orange to school. Any treats sent in for classroom celebrations are at each teachers’ discretion and must be store-bought and individually pre-packaged. The PTSA has generously donated snacks and decorations for our classrooms. Each class or grade level will be organizing their own activities during the day. Unfortunately, we are not able to schedule any building-wide events this year but are looking forward to returning to these events as soon as possible.
The first of two half-days of Parent conferences will begin on Thursday, November 19th. We will have an 11:40 a.m. dismissal on this day, and then again on Wednesday, December 2nd. All of this year's conferences will be done remotely, and teachers will begin reaching out to parents to schedule their meet shortly.
