The NYS Digital Equity Survey is a short questionnaire that will help districts identify students who may need access to reliable internet and/or a digital device for completing schoolwork at home. NYS requires that school districts collect this information to better serve our families needs.
Parents and guardians are asked to take the survey, which should take no more than 5 minutes to complete. Simply log in to the parent portal prior to the end of the third quarter this Friday. You should be automatically prompted to complete the survey. Thank you!

The date of the next board meeting has changed and will now be held on Tuesday, March 28th at 7 p.m. in the LGI. The date change is a result to health insurance rates not being available for the next step in the budget process.
March is Youth Art Month! Students enrolled in a High School Art Class take time out of each Monday to create a mini work of art, reacting to a prompt given to them by their teachers. This Monday, was Post-it Note Creature Challenge. Students had 5-10 minutes to create and draw a unique, one of a kind creature! They are on display in the lobby of the Secondary School.
On Friday, March 17th, 75 music teachers from Rensselaer, Columbia and Greene Counties gathered at Tamarac for a music specific professional development day, geared towards music teachers. Good morning. After receiving many reports of impassable secondary roads and multiple power outages, Brunswick CSD will be closed today, March 15, as a traditional snow day with no remote learning.
Please note: our Secondary School will be open today from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for anyone needing power, heat or restrooms. Stay safe and warm.
EARLY NOTICE: Brunswick CSD will operate on a two hour delay on Wednesday, March 15. Wind damage, road conditions and power outages will be evaluated with a final decision by 7 a.m. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Stay safe and warm.
For the past 18 years, the Business Department has been scheduling entry-level mock job interviews for the Career & Financial Management classes. Students learn how to write an effective resume, complete a letter of application and a job application. Then, after learning some effective tips and techniques on how to interview for a job, they actually have one with a faculty volunteer at Tamarac! Following their interview, they are directed to write an effective and professional follow up letter (via email) and after reviewing the letters, they send them to the staff member thanking them for their time and consideration. Some have said, "I really benefitted from this experience. I was really nervous but now I feel more confident about interviewing in the future!"
Thank you to Ava and Mr. Ferlito for allowing us to drop in for photos!
Brunswick Brittonkill Central School District will be closed Tuesday, March 14, 2023. There will be NO remote learning. Governor Hochul has declared a state of emergency due to the impending winter storm. During executive-declared states of emergency, schools are not required to use their allotted emergency closing days, which means Brunswick CSD will close tomorrow without losing our remaining emergency closing day. Stay safe.
