The 7th graders had a penny war to raise money for "Water for South Sudan". The students read the book "A Long Walk to Water" in ELA which is about the struggle for clean water in the Sudan. The students raised $1,230, which is enough to sponsor 2 villages' clean water and hygiene education. This is the most the seventh grade has ever raised doing the penny wars!

Please review the attached flyer regarding meningococcal disease and vaccination. Students should receive their first vaccine around age 11-12 with a booster around age 16. Students entering 12th grade are required to be fully vaccinated (2 doses) to attend school. As you are scheduling your upcoming appointments make sure your child is up to date with this very important vaccine. New York State requires all students to be up to date with required vaccinations to attend school.
