8th grade students stepped back in time last Friday as part of Ms. Maloy's English class with "Outsiders Day." After reading the classic novel The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, students celebrated the story while dressed in character as “Greasers” or “Socs.”




Tamarac Secondary School staff, faculty and students donated gifts for families in the district. We were able to provide gifts for 12 families! Thank you to the Counseling Center for coordinating.



Blake W. in Ms. Allin's 3rd grade class runs a business called Blake's Bird Bakery. He hand makes and sells bird seed suet cake ornaments for customers to hang outside.
For the month of December, Blake decided to save all his proceeds from sales to the "Tamarac Hat and Mitten Tree." Today Blake dropped off a bag of 30 hats, gloves, and scarves for the children in need. We are so proud of Blake!

Tamarac YAC would like to give a HUGE thank you to our Tamarac Community and their support to our Polar Plunge team. Overall, we exceeded our goal and raised $3400 for Special Olympics.

For your information: The Governor’s office is leading a series of pop-up vaccination events across the state, between now and the end of the year, situated at holiday or shopping centers.
A pop-up is planned to take place at the Troy Farmer’s Market this Saturday, December 18th from 9:00am-2:00pm. The Troy Farmer’s Market is located for the Winter at the Troy Atrium, 49 4th St. Troy.
While NYSDOH is assisting in coordination, the on-site vaccine administration that day is being provided by our contracted medical provider, VIP Star Network. They will have Pfizer 12+, Pfizer Peds, and J&J.
