Dear parent/caregiver of a Tamarac Bengal athlete:
As you know Rensselaer Co Gave permission for Districts to begin high risk sports pending permission from the District's medical Director. Our medical director gave permission under the conditions of COVID testing given the health and safety concern for students, and the inter-community aspect of interscholastic athletics. Yesterday afternoon. the New York State Department of Education issued a memo regarding testing as a condition of in
person learning or other school activities.After consultation with our school medical director and school attorney on the recent guidance testing is not required but encouraged. If any parent/caregiver wants to opt out of such testing, just notify the school(covidhotline@brunswickcsd.org or dvanzandt@brunswickcsd.org) and it will be honored. Please note, if more guidance becomes available we will make you aware.
