8th grade students stepped back in time today as part of Ms. Maloy's English class with "Outsiders Day." After reading the classic novel The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, students celebrated the story while dressed in character as “Greasers” or “Socs.” They participated in games and activities related to the novel, as well as watched the famous 1983 film version of the book. Students connect to the story's themes of acceptance, empathy, and the idea that "Things are rough all over."
