Silent hallways, student whispers gone,
Echoes of a school year's song.
Lockers closed, and desks now bare,
Memories of the past year linger in the air.
Summer's promise calls away,
Goodbye to friends, if just for a day.
Empty halls, the final bell,
Stories only these Tamarac walls can tell.
Congratulations to all who are retiring this year! Thank you for your dedicated years to our Tamarac community.

10th grade students in Ms. Carroll’s Global History II class took a field trip to Boston, Massachusetts yesterday to visit the exhibit Auschwitz; Not Long Ago, Not Far Away, 78 years after the liberation of the camp.
The exhibit was developed by historians and educators in collaboration with the Auschwitz State Museum of Poland. The 700 artifacts within the exhibit included original items from Holocaust survivor’s families as well as concrete posts that were a part of the fence of the camp, fragments of an original barrack for prisoners, a desk and other possessions of the first and longest serving commandant Rudolf Hoss, a gas mask used by the SS, and Picasso’s Lithograph of a Prisoner.
After the exhibit the 10th graders had some free time in Quincy Market where they ate lunch, toured the shops and even fit in some time for a game of corn hole!
Special thanks to our great chaperones Mrs. DeLorenzo, Ms. Hennigan-Masters and Miss Bernard as well as our awesome students who were complimented on their mature behavior by the museum staff.
