Brunswick CSD Cafeteria would like to recognize & celebrate one of the extremely valuable employee's: Patsy Casavant. Patsy turns 80 year old TODAY. She has worked for the BCS Cafeteria for the past 4 years with no current plans to retire. The younger workforce could learn a few life lessons from Patsy. There is no harder worker with a long history of food service experience. At age 13 she started as a carhop (waitress at a drive-in restaurant). She has worked at Connie's coffee break restaurant in Troy, South Troy Diner, and owned her own restaurant with her daughter. Patsy is always the hardest worker in the room, it is no surprise to find her putting the heavy food delivery away without anyone asking. She can't stand still & loves helping her coworkers with any task. Her positive perspective, ambitious attitude and warmhearted spirit are her greatest traits. We are so fortunate to have her at Brunswick CSD. She is truly an inspiration to us all. Patsy is the mother of 7 children, grandmother to 16 and great grandmother to 16 favored family members. She has lived in this school district for nearly 50 years. Brunswick school district celebrates Patsy Casavant & wishes her a very happy 80th birthday.

May is Better Hearing and Speech Month. The speech-language pathologists focused on ways to promote vocal hygiene and protect hearing. Teaching is the occupation at the highest level of risk for developing a voice disorder. Staying hydrated is important in order to protect your voice, so the SLPs provided the teachers and staff with some extra hydration as a reminder to drink up.
A reminder that there will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, May 28th through Monday, May 31st. Classes will resume on Tuesday, June 1st which will be a B Day (Blue Cohort). Have a safe and restful Memorial Day Weekend.
Mark your calendar! Chromebook Return Dates: Please bring your Chromebook to the appropriate school lobby on the return dates during the specific times. Don't forget to bring the charger! Please direct any questions to Anthony Denovellis at adenovellis@brunswickcsd.org
